Last Friday, the 13th of March, the classes of Secretariate and Management walked down to the old jailhouse, where they were presented with a poetic and sensorial feast, courtesy of or City Hall, as part of the World Poetry Day. For a couple of hours, students went from cell to cell and saw different performances and art installations; little girls dancing to fado and hip-hop, prisioners longing for kind words to shorten their time and for messengers for their love, a woman dresses in quilts and living among quilts, all beautifully presented and with an appropiate soundtrack. It was a day for sharp sensitivities and poetic inspiration for all.
